Records management training on your own system, for your own staff

Hands-on training on your own live system, not generic slideware.

Available

A records system is only as good as the people using it. Our training is hands-on and practical. It is delivered on your own live system with your own documents, so staff leave knowing exactly what to do on Monday morning.

Sessions cover records management principles, your filing and naming conventions, scanning and upload discipline, retention basics and staff obligations under the Data Protection Act 2019.

Who it is for

Staff who will use a new EDMS or Koha library system. Registry and records officers who want a refresher. Managers responsible for data protection. New staff joining an organisation with an established records system.

The problem it solves

Systems fail when staff are not confident with them. People save to their desktop, name files however they like, or keep printing because they do not trust the digital copy. Generic training does not help, because it does not show your system, your file plan or your rules.

How we do it, step by step

  1. Needs check

We agree who is attending, what they do day to day and what they need to be able to do afterwards.

  2. Tailored material

Exercises use your own file plan, naming rules and document types.

  3. Hands-on sessions

Staff practise on the live system, not on slides.

  4. Reference material

Every participant receives a printed manual and a quick-reference card.

  5. Follow-up

We provide 30 days of support after training for questions that come up in real work.
