Business systems development: ERP and point of sale built around your processes
Management systems built around your processes: ERP, point of sale and more.
Growing and multi-branch organisations often reach a point where spreadsheets and separate tools no longer keep up. Stock, sales, finance and records live in different places, and nobody has a single view.
We are developing a business systems service for this: management systems such as ERP and point of sale, built around your processes with records management designed in from the start. It is in development and will be introduced as our team and platform are ready. This page explains the approach so you know what to expect.
Who it is for
Growing enterprises and multi-branch operators. Organisations that have outgrown spreadsheets. Businesses that already use an EDMS and want their operational systems to fit with it. Owners and managers who want to plan a system now, even if the build comes later.
The problem it solves
Off-the-shelf systems often force an organisation to change how it works, while separate tools create duplicate data entry and gaps in the records. The documents that prove a sale, a delivery or a payment end up separated from the transaction itself. When a dispute or an audit comes, the evidence is in a drawer, an inbox and a spreadsheet at the same time.
How we do it, step by step
Process mapping
We document how your organisation actually works today, branch by branch.
Requirements
We agree what the system must do, what it must record and which reports managers need.
Records by design
Records and retention are part of the design, not an afterthought, so transaction evidence stays with the transaction.
Phased delivery
Systems are delivered in phases, and each phase is tested by the people who will use it.
Training and support
Staff are trained on the live system, and managed services keep it running.
Records designed in
Our starting point is records management. A sales or stock system creates records every day: invoices, delivery notes, receipts and approvals. Designing how those are captured, linked and kept from the start avoids the clean-up projects that follow many system rollouts. Where a system needs to connect to finance or identity platforms, we use the same approach as our systems integration work.
Where this service stands
Business systems development is in development. We are not yet taking on full ERP builds. If you are planning one, we are glad to discuss your requirements, advise on the records side, and tell you honestly when the service is ready.
Timelines and cost
Not yet scheduled for delivery. Advice on the records requirements of a system you are planning is available now. Fees are scoped per engagement, and you receive a written proposal within 48 hours.
Frequently asked questions
- Can we commission an ERP system now?
- Not yet as a full build, because the service is in development. We can advise on records requirements for a system you are planning.
- Will it work with an existing EDMS?
- That is the aim. Records created by business systems should sit alongside the rest of your records under the same rules.
- How will we know when it is available?
- Ask us through the contact form and we will tell you where it stands.
